Meet The Little Heroes Team.

Little Heroes was started with just a dream and a passion from three

Raymond Cook

Raymond has over 20 years of experience in working with youth. He has over 15 years of experience coaching youth football at the pop warner and high school levels. He currently serves as the Head Coach for Santa Teresa High School's JV Football team. He has worked as an on-site coach at Trace Elementary School, Linda Vista Elementary School, Willow Glen Elementary School, and Horace Mann Elementary School which he still serves to this day. Serving each of those wondrous communities has provided him with an opportunity to grow as an educator. He also still currently coaches the middle school sports teams at Los Gatos Christian School. He's extremely thankful for the upbringing that has allowed him to get to this point in his life, to inspire others, and to create a better future for our youth.

"The three hardest tasks in the world are neither physical feats nor intellectual achievements, but moral acts:
1) To return love for hate;
2) To include the excluded; and
3) To say 'I was wrong.'"

Colmon Burrell

Colmon Burrell is a motivated and energetic individual with a genuine passion for children. He began working with children in 2007 after studying at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee Alabama and has since gained valuable experience in the field. His focus is to be a solid example/role model in the lives of his students, and to remain honest and accessible. From 2007 to the present, Colmon has worked with the YMCA, Camp Galileo, Playworks, and has been a fixture at Franklin Elementary School in the Franklin-Mckinnley school district. Colmon has worked with a myriad of age groups ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade, both building relationships and in many ways serving as a guiding light for many privileged and underprivileged youth. When it comes to being a positive adult figure in the lives of children, Colmon is ever willing and able to be a leader to those for which he has the opportunity. Colmon has also served as a leader for his church's Young Adults Ministry for over 10 years and lights up at the opportunity to serve and empower youth to realize the power of faith and dedication.

Jarzzale Beeks

Jarzzale was born and raised in San Diego, CA where as a child he participated in sports including football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. He quickly fell in love with the sport of football and pursued it full time in high school. At the high school level, Jarzzale excelled at the sport of football earning first team all league honors in his sophomore-senior seasons. He was also named a scholar athlete his junior season, league player of the year his senior season, and named to the first team all CIF team. It was during his college years where Jarzzale discovered his true passion of working with children. He started working in after school programs, and then moved on to teach physical education through a national non-profit dedicated to safe and inclusive play. He has helped structure recesses, start and run a successful junior leadership program, coach in 6 different sports leagues every year, and run his own afterschool program. He has worked in non-profits and served as a community leader at Dorsa Elementary School in San Jose for 4 years now. He has also served his community by volunteering over 1700 hours to the AmeriCorps program.
